ABOUT

About MONTBLANC

Founded in Hamburg, Germany in 1906 by Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein. With roots in the Simplo-Quiller Pen Company, the company changed its name to Montblanc because the shape of its pen resembles Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the European Alps, and became famous around the world for its world-class fountain pens. By acquiring Minerva, a long-established chronograph manufacturer, the company entered the watch industry in 1997, and in just a dozen years it has grown into a watch brand that can stand shoulder to shoulder with well-known and well-established brands. Utilizing the know-how cultivated in luxury writing instruments and Minerva's technology to make watches, Montblanc has established its own unique style, creating masterpieces such as the "Star" and "Timewalker". The elegance and luxury that overflows from its adherence to the traditional techniques of true Swiss watchmaking (Haute Horlogerie) is one of the reasons why it is loved by adult watch fans.
