Founded in 1884 in Rome, the eternal city, by silversmith Soritio Bulgari, the brand quickly gained fame for its outstanding craftsmanship and the creativity of its fine jewelry. In 1977, the brand entered the watch industry with the iconic "Bulgari Bulgari". In 1982, the brand established a manufacturing base in Switzerland to enter the watch industry in earnest. The brand acquired Gerald Genta, the namesake of the genius watch designer Gerald Genta, and Daniel Roth, and in 2010 declared itself a watch manufacturer. The brand's movements are entirely made in-house, and the sophisticated designs befitting a jewelry brand stand out.
